SASMUN is a prestigious simulation in which students take on the roles of ambassadors to the United Nations, engaging in debate on ‘real’ issues from the perspective of their assumed national identities. This year, 2018 was the inception of such a Conference in St. Andrew’s School. The response was over-whelming and with a huge participation, the students set forth for a week-long schedule of briefings, workshops, resolutions and of course lengthy debates. This year’s topic was based on one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Climate Action. A total of 112 students participated in this event which took place on the 13th of March in the Dato Ong Kim Kee Hall. Such an event facilitated deep learning and professional skills attainment in the field of International Relations. Mrs. Manik Jalihal, the organiser alongwith the English department and Ho Se Nie@Sabrina of Year 11G and her team conducted the Conference successfully.
