AS PART of the club’s ongoing commitment to support education in the local communities, the Rotary Club of BSB presented Rotary Awards for 2014/2015.
These are Best Teachers Awards, Best Students Awards and Bursary Awards.
The Best Teachers Awards are given in recognition of the contributions made by teachers towards education in their respective schools for the year 2014.
The Best Students Awards are given in recognition of achieving excellent results in their GCE ‘O’ Level examinations for the year 2014 and also as an encouragement for the students to strive harder in their further studies to build a brighter future for themselves.
The Bursary Awards are given to selected financially challenged students from selected schools whose education may be jeopardised due to financial difficulties. For these selected students, the club will pay for their school fees for the academic year 2015 so that they can complete their academic year without having to worry about finding money to pay for their school fees.
For those students who were under the club’s Bursary Awards in the previous years, they will continue to receive the award from the club as long as they show progress in their studies.
