Secondary Oratory Competition
On Thursday, 8th May 2025, the English Department held its Oratory Competition at the Conference Hall from 9:10am to 10:10am. The theme of this year’s competition was “I Have a Dream,” which invited students to express their personal goals and aspirations through public speaking.
Twelve students participated in the event, with the top three speakers chosen from each of the four Year 8 classes. The participants delivered powerful and meaningful speeches, covering a wide range of dreams; from professional ambitions to hopes for a better world. The audience and judges were impressed by the speakers’ fluency, confidence, and ability to engage their listeners.
Sandra Beatrice Alfonso Guzman from Class 8Y emerged as the overall winner. Her speech about her dream of becoming a veterinarian was both heartfelt and inspiring. She demonstrated strong language skills and emotional appeal. Her performance stood out for its clarity, structure, and delivery.
The English Department congratulates all participants for their excellent efforts. Endless gratitude to the teachers and judges who played an important role in preparing and supporting the students. It was a successful and memorable event that celebrated the power of youthful voices and dreams.
