St. Andrew’s Team Crowned ROBIN 2025 Champions
Saint Andrew’s celebrated a proud moment as Amelia Binoy Valiyakunnel (Year 10G) and Adrian Liaw Choon Bo (Year 10R) emerged champions of the ROBIN 2025 Robo Sumo (500g category). Their team, named Divergence Sequence sailed through the round-robin stage showcasing their innovation and collaboration with an impressive six-match winning streak, earning them a spot in the thrilling finals against Tanjong Maya Secondary School. They won the first two matches of the final and became the champions. The team was awarded $1,000 in cash, together with medals and certificates. Meanwhile, in another category, Ak Muhd Haziq bin Pg Hussainy (10R) and Alfred Chong Hu (9G) were honoured with the Top Innovator Award, each receiving a certificate and a $30 voucher.
The event, ROBIN 2025, the 2nd National Robotech and Innovation Competition was organised by the Seria Energy Lab (SEL) on the 13th of September 2025 at Pusat Insani, Seria. This year’s event brought together 113 enthusiastic students from twenty-six schools. Among them were eight dedicated representatives from St. Andrew’s School, who had been sharpening their skills through months of training from April to September 2025 in preparation for the competition.
